Rising Early Can Help You Lose Weight

You stood on the scale that sunny, crisp morning and your eyes widened. 10 pounds overweight? You have no idea where these additional pounds came from.

How am I able to lose 10 pounds, you question? By adding better food habits and regular amounts of exercise. Hmmm, you ponder, I hardly get my tasks all done, so I don\’t have time to add exercise to my life.

Hang on a sec! Each morning you hit the alarm clock\’s snooze button again and again. You finally get up, grab a quick breakfast bar and leave for work. But your life could use some re-organizing.

As an example, you might get up earlier and exercise. Yes, exercise first thing in the morning, when you are calm before the day\’s duties begin. Whether you select an activity indoors or out of doors, you can hear blue jays chirping and squirrels jumping from tree to tree. The new day can symbolize renewal and hope, and a good way to renew your commitment to your body can be through exercise.

Exercise in the evening might not be practical. If your legs can not seem to move and your body aches later on in the day, you have one more reason to exercise in the morning.

An additional reason you might choose the morning can be to get the most from the tiny pieces of time you spend exercising. Studies have shown that the human body first burns off carbs and then burns off fat. Since our main goal in exercising, other than to look and feel great, concentrates on burning up fat, you would need to be active when you have an empty stomach. An empty stomach means the body has few carbs, therefore when you exercise, your body will use fat as fuel. Exercising on a full stomach typically means you have to work harder to burn up the fat. As a result, exercise in the morning on an empty stomach and burn more fat with less effort.

One more reason to exercise in the morning seems easy and critical at the same time: you create time for exercise. Getting up a little bit earlier gives you more waking hours, so you don\’t go thru the day wondering, \”When can I exercise?\”

Exercising in the morning to lose 10 pounds obviously has advantages. Remember, no fast scheme exists that may get rid of the additional weight, so you have to use food habits and exercise. You owe your body the possibility to lose weight – so if exercising in the morning works better for you, make it a healthy habit.

Tips On Creating Change In Your Life

What kinds of things help to support us in changing or creating a new habit?

Visualizing can be very productive for some people. The clearer you picture your goal and how awesome you will feel when you reach it, the easier it becomes to make the necessary changes to get there.

Affirmations can also help you reach a goal. Come up with a statement as if you\’ve already accomplished what you wish. \”I AM happy,\” rather than, \”I want to be happy,\” and then repeat it during the day, each day until you are on your way.

Having structure with others can also help you to change. If, for instance, you need to lose weight and get in better shape, you can join a class at a community college for weight liftiing, aerobic work outs, or sport. In a class you are given a list of your expected goals, a schedule for working out, a finite course over limited weeks and most likely you will have to keep a record of your workout routines and your performance will be reviewed, which suggests you must be accountable to someone. It\’ll be easier to stick with because you will not be doing it alone. Working out in your own place has the convenience of location and time, there is, however, no accountability except to yourself and you haven\’t any company while doing it. If you have been having difficulty creating a new habit, find a group or a class where you can join others who are trying to achieve similar goals.

There are more things too, that will make it easier or harder to change. One is our image of our self and our abilities. Do we believe we are going to succeed, or do we predict we shall give up? Are we able to picture ourselves (again the visualisation) where we\’d like to be, or are we uncomfortable with the idea of being there? As an example, would you be comfortable being wealthy, or would you feel guilty for having wealth when so many are poor? You\’ll have to work out any issues you have before you will be able to easily keep a new habit or lifestyle.

Frequently a little change goes far to support making a big change. For example, some men will grow a beard or shave one off and some women will change their hairstyle or hair color when they\’re psychologically trying to create a bigger change in their lives. They might shave a beard when they start dating, or color their hair when they\’re trying to lose weight. A little visible change acts as a heads up that you are indeed changing and not exactly the same person you used to be. Redecorating a room in your home or your office is another small change that may act as a reminder for other changes in habit or new outlook.

Anxiety and Weight Loss: Slimming Strategies

If you deal with high tension most of the time, you should know that it can make losing pounds tough. Anxiety and weight control don\’t work well together, simply because when you\’re feeling anxious, your body is in a state of stress. Prolonged stress floods your body with hormones that encourage the formation of abdominal fat and slow down your metabolism; not to mention causing all sorts of health issues at the same time.

Losing pounds when you are feeling worried can be tough, but it\’s not impossible. The trick is to soothe your body into a condition of calm.

Here are some tips for easing anxiety and losing weight:

Anxiety and Weight Loss – Set troubles apart.

Anxiousness is usually due to worrisome thoughts. The more you worry, the more anxious you\’re feeling. Overcoming this habit is as easy as purposively putting aside your concerns whenever possible. You can do this in a number of ways , including jotting down your fears and then throwing the paper away, or making a \”worry box\” into which you can symbolically pour your fears into. The most important thing is to keep removing your focus from worry and fear so you stop throwing your body into a condition of chronic stress.

Anxiety and Weightloss – Slow down.

Occasionally anxiety can be due to a hectic schedule or feeling pressured. Conquering this is as straightforward as slowing down your pace every day. You may be so used to rushing that you do not notice how anxious it makes you feel until later when you recognize that you\’re intensely wound up. Each day, try your best to slow down your pace. Walk slower, breathe more deeply, rest a bit more, and keep affirming that all of your chores and jobs will get done in plenty of time so you do not want to rush. Just adopting a relaxed mindset can do wonders in helping you to feel calmer.

Anxiety and Weightloss – Nutritional soothers.

A few times a day, include a food or beverage in your diet that is believed to have a calming effect. Enjoy a cup of chamomile tea, eat tuna for lunch, have turkey for dinner, enjoy a spoon of peanut butter with an apple for a break. Aromatherapy may also be useful; try saturating a hankie with 1 or 2 drops of lavender oil and carrying it in your pocket or purse. Occasionally throughout the day take it out and sniff it. Just the scent will soothe your nerves and create a sense of calm within you.

By doing what you can to cut back your anxiety each day, you help your body to lose weight more successfully.
